On the other hand, LEGO Digital designer has been getting fewer and fewer updates with new elements over recent years. Studio has been on the rise over the last few years, particularly with the rise of interest in LEGO building during the pandemic, its integration with BrickLink and the Bricklink Designers Program.

You can find it listed under the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.It feels a bit like The LEGO Group is tidying up the house in preparation for its 90th Birthday later this year: Last night we heard about the merging of Bricks and Pieces into Pick a Brick, and this was followed hours with news that LEGO® Digital Designer – a stalwart of many fans of digital building – is going to have support discontinued, to be replaced by ongoing development of LEGO BrickLink Studio, as the group’s officially supported digital building application. As I have mentioned, currently it is only available for LEGO VIP members (make sure you are signed in with your VIP account to get it), and it will be more widely available in March. Jason doesn’t mention this, but Maria Hill actually have the SHIELD emblem printed on her right shoulder.

The first thing you will notice from the video-review below is that the box of this set is humongous! But it is always fun to open such large LEGO boxes you know it is going to be full of fun!Īlso, notice in the video-review the size of the instruction booklet! In fact it can no longer be called a booklet with over 400 pages it is a serious manual! While in the past LEGO used to add several smaller booklets with larger sets, this year they started to include only one larger and better quality book, no matter what’s the size of the set. It is nice to see though that LEGO was able to incorporate some play-features as well.

The #76042 LEGO Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier is an Ultimate Collector Series set, so the focus is on adding accurate details, and also to make it as big and impressive as possible for display purposes. So in the video-review below Jason from the Brick Show will show you the set from every possible angle, and in the second video he will also show you how to add power-functions. It is only available for LEGO VIP members right now, but will get a wider release next month. As we have recently discussed (see links at the end of this post), the #76042 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier was just released a few days ago.
